Academic Vocabulary

Academic vocabulary words are very important words in each subject that our first graders must learn throughout the year!  Each morning we have a new word of the day and write about them in our vocabulary journals.  By doing this, we are able to practice our handwriting, punctuation, capitalization, and spacing all while learning new vocabulary.  These words are often used on tests and in our curriculum.  Your child will be coming home with their vocabulary journals once we have written about all of the words.  These will make great study tools!!  In case your child missed a day or one is hard to read the list will always be here for you to reference!

Words we have learned already...
